Remember them?

Today my six years old brother knows how to function with android phones and tablet. While I was of his age, I came home carrying shit loads of shit in my underwear. Trust me I did. There always will be a child who won't speak much but will urinate in the class. Thank you Rinchen Dorji from my kindergarten days who only remembers apart from me.

Our generation is that particular one which saw Bhutan transform from a very closed society to the one which we have now. People would even fear gups and gups could beat up people as well. Oh boy Dzongda in Dzongkhas were so powerful that even adults would shiver when they saw one. All in all I just wanted to make you remember those very old days and I hope you relate to them as well.

His story.

''So meet my friend Lal Bahadur here'', said Dr. Tashi, who wanted to cheer up Lal Bahadur who was Lal less and more of Devdas.

''Hi'', said Norbu, a CEO of his own construction firm. Norbu wasn't a yak. He was an eloquent gentleman with clean shaved face. Slightly dark but 6 feet tall. He had short hair and it suited him. His nails clean and he wore G-shock watch.

For my machine friends.

I guess few of us can only live upto what we dreamed to be, our amibitions resemble to those posters of celebrities whom we worship or idolise and later when we grow up, we are so ashamed to have dreamed of. A moment of silence to those kids of this generation who have Niki Minaj on their walls, to those girls who want to date Justin Bieber and a moment of laughter to my far cousin Tshering for liking John Abraham while all she might have gotten in her life were Johnny Levers.

And well, even though my Biology Teacher who said Biology happens to be a sixteen year old bum jarim  ( beautiful girl ) in the field of science, physics amused me. Now you have to go back to the real past why I chose engineering. Physics was topped by a brat. I hated him so bad but I congratulated him, a decent handshake. Tenth grade we both became best friends and after a decade and a year, we both are in same field.

And then I fell in love

I look in the mirror and I wonder what went wrong? Why am I here where I stand today? Am I happy or do I deserve to be where I am?

If you know me in person,  you will know that I am not much of an ambitious and neither am I a materialistic person. Is that good or bad I don't know.

Construction of Hydro Power Plants: The Perks of Working part II

I am writing this not because I am pro India.  I wrote this article very long time ago. But I didn't publish it because I thought the timing was wrong. But lately too much has been spoken and I fear it will stigmatise the future projects.

The Country will be in Debt!

You are successful.

Ink stained pages, ink stained fingers, staring out the window, watching passersby, puffing cigarettes, hiding behind a coffee mug, wondering, pondering, trying to make sense of life?

Things you will see as an Engineer.

Last blog for some days. I am shifting. Will take time to get broadband connection there.

Sir, today I had to discontinue my child's school, because I couldn't pay the fees, the owner didn't pay us for four months. His eyes were watery and didn't hesitate to cry, that old man I still recall his face.
I didn't know what else to do, but call his owner, our contractor and fought with him for hours. This is none of your business the contractor would yell, I would hang up saying you are a liar and a mean person with cuss words.
