Sketch of the week.

Hi Folks, How have you been? Well, past one week, I was very much busy with office chores and well, what can I say? It has been a very normal week, yes, as always, work was slightly hectic.

Anyways, finally, I have come up with my first sketch. Today, I will be posting a sketch of my dear friend Tashi Yangzom.

I used to sketch?

When I was in Nursery School, I was jeered by my teacher for painting the sun blue and for colouring the roofs with multiple colours. I didn't understand then, and I haven't understood till date.

Why? Because you see, when I was taught that sun has to be yellow, I got that point. Then later on, while I grew up, few of the free thinkers would vouch for the idea that it could be of any colour in that art. Perhaps, nothing is fixed here. :p

What A Future?

The 19th & 20th Century visionaries really did have higher expectations from 21st century folks. But who were we kidding? If anything one has to study, one should bifurcate it to a unit and then study. So, let's break things into smaller units. Let's say my working environment first.

The Book: Then I Saw Her Face by Ngawang P Phuntsho

When it comes for Bhutanese books in market, and their costs, we often wonder and remind ourselves time and again, WE ARE HERE TO BUY BOOKS... NOT GOLD!

Yes, Bhutanese books authored by Bhutanese Writers are expensive. If you are a tourist, you would wonder, I paid for this? And by 'This' I would mean, a couple of napkin paper bundle served you at Local Dhaba. Even Bhutanese have reacted that ways, but we have grown into this phenomenon and have now started to take in that, yes, Bhutanese Authored books are not meant to be read. Let some astray Tourist experience those.

Robin McLaurin Williams

Robin McLaurin Williams.

Robin McLaurin Williams ( July 21, 1951 – August 11, 2014).

Nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor Three times, Williams received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Good Will Hunting (I believe this was the movie for which Matt Damon and Ben Affleck wrote the script for and became over night Hollywood stars). He also received two Emmy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and Five Grammy Awards.

On August 11, 2014, Williams was found unconscious at his residence and was pronounced dead at the scene. According to Marin County, California, coroner’s office, the probable cause of death was asphyxiation.

I have always been a great fan of Robin Williams and have almost watched all his works. Of all his works, I loved his Stand up Comedies and his dialogues in Aladdin as Genie. But one should also know that he was the one who gave us those funny lines like “Size must be dainty but I love you! Gloria! Gloria!” in Happy Feet.
